The day of Scott’s arrival (mar 10) we got to go to Ellah’s b-day party. It was a great way to have the day go by a little faster. Scott was scheduled to get in at 10:50pm but because of bad weather wasn’t able to get in until midnight. Adi fell asleep at 9 and slept the whole time we were driving. Az held out and didn’t fall asleep until 11pm. When I saw Scott I just softly said “Girls dad’s home.” Adi woke up and was ready holding both her sign and Az’s. Az was so wiped out she just slept. When Dad approached the car Adi yelled out and was so excited to have him hold her. She proudly showed Dad her signs and gave him hugs and kisses. Scott had to go back to get his bags but Adi wasn’t about to let him go without her. There was a lady watching Adi’s reaction to seeing her Dad and she had to just talk to Scott and tell him how adorable it was to see their reception and inquired about what the signs had said. The pure elation of this little girls persona was enough to melt anyones heart. Unfortunately I forgot my camera but the image of Adi not wanting to let go of her dad and the woman who sat and watched their reception will be one of those moments I hope to never forget.
